A new RSNA Ventures–Rad AI collaboration aims to deliver instant, evidence-based insight at the point of reporting.
What if radiologists never had to leave their workflow to double-check a differential? That’s the vision behind a new partnership between RSNA Ventures and Rad AI. The two organizations are developing a workflow-integrated experience that will automatically surface RSNA-reviewed clinical insight in real time.
As imaging volumes climb and medical knowledge expands faster than anyone can track, radiologists are being asked to move quickly without compromising certainty. This collaboration meets that pressure head-on by delivering trusted answers inside the workflow, not outside of it.
The initiative is one of the first major moves from RSNA Ventures, launched earlier this year to accelerate innovation that strengthens radiology practice, improves patient care and advances the field.
“This partnership aims to solve a critical challenge for radiologists—leveraging AI to optimize workflows and improve patient care,” said Adam E. Flanders, MD, RSNA Board liaison for information technology. “Through this alliance, RSNA Ventures will deliver RSNA’s peer-reviewed content into Rad AI’s solutions already in use across leading U.S. radiology practices and health systems, ensuring that this innovation is trusted and practical.”
By integrating RSNA’s extensive peer-reviewed content library into Rad AI Reporting, radiologists will be able to access evidence-based insights instantly, without breaking focus from image interpretation. Instead of relying on memory or time-consuming searches, relevant RSNA materials, publications, journals and case studies, will surface automatically as they dictate.
The result: reduced cognitive load, greater consistency and higher confidence in clinical decision-making.
“Radiology has never been about just reading images. It’s about making high-stakes decisions with speed and certainty,” said Jeff Chang, MD. “By bringing RSNA’s peer-reviewed insight directly into the reporting experience, we’re not just streamlining workflow; we’re giving radiologists a stronger foundation for every call they make. This is about elevating clinical judgment, not replacing it.”
The first milestone of the partnership will be showcased at RSNA 2025, where attendees can see a demo of RSNA content embedded in Rad AI’s reporting platform and play an active role in shaping how the capability evolves. A demo will be featured in the AI Theater on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m. and more information about Rad AI can be found at Booth 4753 in McCormick Place South Hall A, Level 3.
Additional announcements are planned throughout the meeting, signaling what may be the start of a transformative era for radiology—one where AI and trusted medical knowledge converge to empower clinicians, streamline workflows and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
